What each page is for
Cost of living asks whether the same gross pay buys a similar basket in another city, metro, or country. World cities use a stored cost index. U.S. metros also use BEA 2023 indexes. Countries use World Bank household PPPs. It does not file tax and it does not price a lease.
Take-home pay asks what is left after tax year 2026 federal and FICA rules in the United States, plus stored state tables, or after stored income tax and employee social charges in other countries. You do not type a percent. It does not move buying power between cities.
Commute cost asks what fuel, parking, and tolls add up to on the days you actually drive. It fills EIA weekly U.S. gasoline, Statistics Canada monthly city prices, or OpenVan.camp weekly country averages, then lets you overwrite them. It defaults to 48 work weeks.
