Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Misconfigs LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). Your use of any page, tool, or feature on the Service constitutes acceptance of these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy.

2. The service

Jobert provides free, browser-based calculators for equivalent salary across U.S. metros and countries, estimated take-home pay, and commute cash cost. The Service is offered at no charge and does not require registration. We may change, suspend, or remove features at any time.

3. No professional advice

Estimates only. These calculators are not tax, legal, financial, or career advice. They do not file a return, price a home, or tell you to take a job.

Calculator outputs are estimates. They are not a filed tax return, a lease, an offer letter, or a direction to take or leave a job. You are solely responsible for evaluating and deciding whether and how to use any result.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to disrupt, scrape, reverse engineer, or overload our hosting
• Misrepresent Misconfigs LLC or Jobert
• Rely on the Service for high-stakes gambling, regulated gaming, or similar uses
• Use automated means to access the Service in a way that burdens our infrastructure

5. Calculator inputs

Numbers you type stay in your browser session unless you copy them elsewhere. We do not operate a server-side account or database for calculator inputs as part of normal use. Formulas use published public figures (BEA price indexes, World Bank PPPs, IRS 2026 brackets, stored country tax tables, IRS mileage rates) plus values you enter, such as gross pay and distance. We do not promise that outputs match a payroll system, a state department of revenue, or a future data revision.

6. Third-party services & advertising

Jobert is free to use and may be supported by advertising through Monetag and its partners. EU, EEA, and UK visitors see a consent banner before advertising cookies load. Elsewhere, ads may load without that banner unless you opt out via cookie preferences.

Ads may appear as interstitials, in-page units, popunder or onclick formats, push-style notifications, or other formats Monetag selects. We do not endorse advertised products or services. Ad placement, format, frequency, and advertisers may change at any time without notice. Tool results on Jobert are independent of advertising.

Third-party advertisers and ad partners may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

We are not responsible for the availability, performance, actions, ad content, billing practices, or failures of third-party services, including outages, analytics gaps, changes to third-party APIs, or disputes with advertisers. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any claim arising from a third-party service or advertisement is solely between you and that provider.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL TOOL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR QUIET ENJOYMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT OUTPUTS WILL BE COMPLETE, RELIABLE, ACCURATE, FAIR, OR FIT FOR YOUR REQUIREMENTS. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ANY WARRANTY THAT OUTPUT IS FREE FROM MISTAKES OR OMISSIONS, OR THAT IT PREDICTS FUTURE EVENTS.

YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR DISSATISFACTION WITH THE SERVICE IS TO STOP USING IT.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MISCONFIGS LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, FINANCIAL LOSS, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, PROPERTY DAMAGE, SECURITY INCIDENT, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR SYSTEMS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, ANY TOOL OUTPUT, EXPLANATORY CONTENT, OR ADVERTISEMENTS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES AND EVEN IF A REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.

YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR EVALUATING AND DECIDING WHETHER AND HOW TO USE ANY OUTPUT. YOU AGREE THAT MISCONFIGS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY ERRORS, MISTAKES, OR OMISSIONS IN OUTPUT OR FOR ANY CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR RELIANCE ON IT.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Time limit. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms must be filed within one (1) year after the claim accrued; otherwise, it is permanently barred.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Misconfigs LLC and its affiliates, officers, directors, members, managers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, settlements, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and court costs) arising out of or related to: (a) your access to or use of the Service; (b) your reliance on tool outputs or explanatory content; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of applicable law; or (e) your violation of any third-party rights.

We may assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defense. You may not settle any claim that imposes obligations on Misconfigs LLC without our prior written consent.

10. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the Service, including software, trademarks, service marks, branding, documentation, and site design. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms, but you may not copy, resell, scrape, or redistribute the Service or its code as your own product without permission.

11. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, immediately for violation of these Terms, suspected abuse, legal requirement, or to protect the Service, our users, or third parties.

Survival. Sections relating to disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, intellectual property, obligations under our Privacy Policy, and dispute resolution survive termination or expiration of these Terms, along with any other provisions that by their nature should survive.

12. Changes to the Service

We may add, modify, or remove tools, features, limits, or integrations at any time. We will use reasonable efforts to post material adverse changes on the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Service.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.

14. Force majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms when caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, floods, fires, earthquakes, epidemics or pandemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, power or internet or telecommunications failures, government actions, embargoes, or failures or outages of third-party hosting, cloud, analytics, advertising, or network providers.

15. Dispute resolution & governing law

International users. If you reside outside the United States, these Terms are intended to be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any mandatory rights or protections you may have under the laws of your country of residence that cannot be waived by agreement.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. For any dispute that is not subject to arbitration under this section, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state courts located in San Francisco County, California, and the federal courts for the Northern District of California.

Informal resolution. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and allow at least thirty (30) days for us to try to resolve the dispute informally.

Binding arbitration. Except as set out below, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration, not in court. Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under the rules applicable to the dispute, including the Consumer Arbitration Rules where applicable. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this section.

The arbitration shall take place in San Francisco County, California, unless the parties agree otherwise. If conducted remotely, the arbitration shall be deemed seated in San Francisco County, California.

Individual claims only; class action waiver. You and Misconfigs LLC agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, private attorney general, or representative proceeding.

Exceptions. Either party may (a) bring an individual action in small claims court in San Francisco County, California if the claim qualifies, or (b) seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court to prevent infringement or misuse of intellectual property or unauthorized access to the Service.

Jury trial waiver. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EACH PARTY WAIVES THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL FOR ANY CLAIM THAT PROCEEDS IN COURT.

16. Copyright & intellectual property complaints

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, contact us at [email protected] with sufficient detail to identify the material, the rights you claim, and your contact information. We may remove or disable access to material we reasonably believe infringes third-party rights.

17. General provisions

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Misconfigs LLC regarding the Service and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings on that subject.

Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) must proceed in court and not in arbitration, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets.

Electronic communications. You consent to receive communications from us electronically, including by posting on the Service. You agree that such communications satisfy any legal requirement that communications be in writing.

Feedback. If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant Misconfigs LLC a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate them without restriction or compensation to you.

No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms are for the benefit of you and Misconfigs LLC only.
